Prayers of the People for April 26/20

The response of the people is “Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For the Church, that her Light will shine brighter during these dark times and lead all of God’s children on the path to eternal life, we pray to the Lord.

“Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For the Parish of the Resurrection and our sister parishes of Gambo and Gander, that we will open our hearts to the needs of the poor, the lonely, and the vulnerable during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, seeing Christ in each person we encounter, we pray to the Lord.

“Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For continuous coordinated efforts among government leaders of all nations and societies, that they share resources and work together to prevent further spread of the coronavirus and to relieve human suffering, we pray to the Lord.

“Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For police officers, military personnel, healthcare workers and all who are on the front-lines, especially those in positions of vulnerability as they work to serve their neighbors, we pray to the Lord.

“Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For God’s love and comfort in the midst of the brutal, senseless deaths of so many of our brothers and sisters in Nova Scotia. We grieve with them this tragic loss, and ask you to welcome those who have died to a place of peace and light, far from tragedy and pain, we pray to the Lord,

“Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For those who are sick and suffering, especially for those who are isolated and without help, for their healing, we pray to the Lord.

 “Hear us Lord of Glory.”

For all who have died in Christ’s peace, that they may praise him in the everlasting glory of heaven, we pray to the Lord.

“Hear us Lord of Glory.”
