The Celebration of
the Lord’s Passion
Enter in Silence
Penitential Rite p.308 BAS
Priest: All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way.
People: And the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Priest: Christ the Lord became obedient unto death,
People: even death on a cross.
Priest: Almighty God,
People: our heavenly Father, we have sinned in thought and word and deed; we have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. We pray you of your mercy, forgive us all that is past, and grant that we may serve you in newness of life to the glory of your name. Amen.

Divine Gift (Modified)
Sacrifice became for us the gift of life
We hold it dear, you are always here.
When trials appear
Help us Lord to trust, not fear.
Let stillness draw us in
To the One within.
You are here with us.
You are here in us.
You are here as us.
Priest: Almighty and eternal God,
People: You have restored us to life by the triumphant death and resurrection of Christ. Continue this healing work within us. May we who partake of this mystery never cease to give you dedicated service. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
