Notices: 28 March 2021, Palm Sunday<\/strong>
Dear friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Sunday is Palm or Passion Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, the most sacred time in the Christian year, the time when we begin reflecting on the transformative suffering of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of our lives, are filled with pain and suffering. Suffering is not negotiable. And the suffering will be transformative in our lives: it will either make us bitter and miserable, or it will make us compassionate and more alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Jesus, we need to learn how to hold on to the pain in our lives, to be present to it, to surrender to it until we\u2019ve learned its lessons. Let us enter into Holy Week with Jesus as our guide, and trust in the New Life that will emerge out of our suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holy Week Liturgical Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good Friday, April 2, 3pm on Facebook and YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easter Sunday, April 4, 11am on Facebook and YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


If there are any changes with the lifting of restrictions, you will be informed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


Offerings<\/strong> can be dropped off at the Emmaus Cafe on Wednesdays between 1 and 3pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


The parish fundraising committee<\/strong> recently met to plan events for the remainder of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take-Out Breakfasts<\/strong> will hopefully be able to resume in April (more to follow on that). 
On-Line Spring Auction<\/strong> is scheduled to take place in May.
Jiggs and Reels<\/strong> Take-Out is scheduled for September.
Fall Bazaar<\/strong> is scheduled for October.
Christmas Auction<\/strong> is scheduled for the last weekend in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


If you would like to volunteer with any of these events, please let me know.
Fundraising is about more than raising revenue to help support our mission, it also helps build and nurture community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
