Good day dear friends, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s Gospel is an invitation to know more deeply who Jesus is; and as we know more and more who Jesus is, we come to know who God is; and as we come to know who God is, we come to know our own deepest and truest divine self. As we continue on our Easter journey, may we see, know and love Christ in each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scent Free Environment<\/strong>: Many people now suffer from allergies. Please, when gathering in our House for the Church, refrain from wearing colognes and perfumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bishop of Guatemala the Rt. Rev. Silvestre and Mrs. Thelma Romero will be visiting our Diocese in May.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During their visit, there will be public events for you to attend. These events are open for in-person and online attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All clergy and laypeople are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday, May 14 at 7 pm            The Installation of Canons at our Cathedral with guest preacher Bishop Romero<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Diocesan \u201cSet Sail\u201d meeting for our region will be at St.Matthew\u2019s in Bay Roberts, 7pm May 16. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of these sessions is to introduce Set Sail: Charting the Course for Christ\u2019s Church to the people of the Diocese. Bishop Sam will discuss his vision for the Diocese and the goals of the Set Sail strategic plan. Participants will consider how the goals can be interpreted and realized in their own local contexts. Attendees should be able to return to their parishes with a good understanding of what comes next on our journey, together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father Richard Rohr<\/strong> is a contemporary leader in the deepening faith and spiritual practice movement throughout the Christian church. If you would like a little more help and encouragement in deepening your own faith and spiritual practice, in addition to what is available in our parish, go to www.cac.org<\/a>, and at the top of that page, subscribe to Father Richard\u2019s daily e-mails. I highly recommend it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new s<\/strong>ix week Revive course <\/strong>will begin on Tuesday, May 9, \u201cCalled for Ministry.\u201d Please keep this important discipling ministry in your prayer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRevive\u201d<\/strong> is a program that helps equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders. The participants will learn about themselves and discern their life\u2019s calling; explore their faith journey and enter into a relationship with God; enjoy a sense of community and deepened relationships with peers; gain confidence with prayer, scripture, and spiritual leadership; and discern gifts for their calling to serve God\u2019s world. Please pray for those participating in this program this spring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
