Notices: Pentecost, 28 May 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good day dear friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Sunday is the feast of Pentecost, the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church and upon the world. Or another way of saying this: the great \u201copening up\u201d to the Spirit within. To follow the path of Jesus, the Way of Love, is to open up to the Divine life, the Love that is already within you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pentecost is about being overwhelmed by the Love of God, and about being overwhelmed with Love for God and for others. Let our hearts catch on fire, and may we be consumed with love for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holy Communion<\/strong> every Sunday at 11am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, June 11 we will be concluding Godly Play for the summer and will be having a BBQ lunch after liturgy. Hot dogs, hamburgers, salads and cake will be provided for everyone. We are hoping that a couple of people can bring along table top BBQs. Please let Lynn know if you can help out with that (683-1270<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Wednesday Ministry<\/strong> – Scones and Tea, Group Meditation, Poetry, The Way of Love – will finish on May 17, and will resume after Labour Day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resurrection Yoga<\/strong> will continue until the end of June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please remember to bring items for the Helping Hand Basket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praying in Nature<\/strong>– Once a week, while the weather is warmer,  we will be intentional about praying outside.  Please join Rev\u2019d Christine in the Parish of Bay Roberts Coley’s Point as we deepen  our awareness of God in the naturally created world around us on Wednesdays in June, 10:30-11:30am at the following locations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new s<\/strong>ix week Revive course <\/strong>has begun, \u201cCalled for Ministry.\u201d Please keep this important discipling ministry in your prayer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRevive\u201d<\/strong> is a program that helps equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders. The participants will learn about themselves and discern their life\u2019s calling; explore their faith journey and enter into a relationship with God; enjoy a sense of community and deepened relationships with peers; gain confidence with prayer, scripture, and spiritual leadership; and discern gifts for their calling to serve God\u2019s world. Please pray for those participating in this program this spring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
