As the gathered community of faith in our School of Love, hearing the Word of God is meant to change and soften our hearts, and soften our eyes toward one another. We are created to love God and to be in right relationship with God.We are created to love one another and to be in right relationship with one another. Being \u201cchurch\u201d also means a deep commitment to the relentless work of reconciliation.\u00a0<br>Love<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Father Gerald+<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Children\u2019s Church\u00a0<\/strong>will resume on Sunday, September 10. Please pass the word around.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday Lunch ministry<\/strong>\u00a0will resume on Sunday, September 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On\u00a0the weekend of September 23 and 24, we will be celebrating the 17th\u00a0anniversary of the Dedication of the Oratory.<\/strong>Bishop Sam will join us in the liturgy on Sunday the 24th to help us remember and celebrate.Archdeacon Charlene Taylor will join us on Saturday evening, the 23rd, to\u00a0join in our discerning on how the Spirit is calling us forward as a community of faith in our Diocesan Family.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be a free cold plate supper on the 23rd, at 6pm, preceding Archdeacon Charlene\u2019s presentation. Please call or text Marilyn Snow at\u00a0683-3743\u00a0to confirm your supper reservation.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this weekend, the Mission and Outreach Committee and the Property and Finance Committee will meet on the afternoon of the 23rd from 1 to 4pm.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our annual Jigs and Reels<\/strong>\u00a0is being planned for September 30. $25 dollars for eat in or take out. We are also looking for donations to help offset the cost. For tickets or donations please contact Titania at 222-5224 or Roy at 222-4493.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preaching from the Presider\u2019s Chair<\/strong>: Some have been asking why Father Gerald has been offering the homily from the presider\u2019s chair and sitting down? The flexibility in the design of our oratory allows for various modes of delivery for preaching and teaching. For more info contact Deacon Gladys Harvey at 683-2266.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cRevive\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0is a program that helps equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders. The participants will learn about themselves and discern their life\u2019s calling; explore their faith journey and enter into a relationship with God; enjoy a sense of community and deepened relationships with peers; gain confidence with prayer, scripture, and spiritual leadership; and discern gifts for their calling to serve God\u2019s world. Sunday is a day which is at the very heart of the Christian life. Do not be afraid to give your time to Christ! Time given to Christ is never time lost, but is rather time gained, so that our relationships and indeed our whole life may become more profoundly human.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When making your wills,<\/strong>\u00a0please remember the Parish of the Resurrection.\u00a0<br>Your Will can be a testament to your faith.
