Is our leadership and shared ministry for the glory of God? Or for our own glory? Do we participate in the community of faith for the benefit of others? Or for our own benefit? Why do we love? How do we love? Who do we love? As we near the end of the Church’s liturgical year, and open up to the watching and waiting of Advent, these are important questions for us to ask of ourselves and of our community.

Love

Father Gerald+

Thank you so very much for your prayers, love and support during my absence in October. Remember to pray about and encourage your family and friends to share in our community of faith.

The duty to keep Sunday holy, especially by sharing in the Eucharist and by relaxing in a spirit of Christian joy and fraternity, is easily understood. Sunday is a day which is at the very heart of the Christian life. Do not be afraid to give your time to Christ! Time given to Christ is never time lost, but is rather time gained, so that our relationships and indeed our whole life may become more profoundly human.

Notices: Proper 31, 5 November 2023 Good day dear friends, In the Gospel for this week we will hear Jesus challenge the religious community on the trappings of leadership and…

[4
