Good day dear friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Sunday we will hear the Gospel story of John\u2019s life and witness \u201cpreparing the way of the Lord\u201d by pointing the crowds to Christ. John wanted others to know about the Christ Life, the Life of Divine Love. Our Advent preparations, indeed our life and witness in preparing the way of the Lord is to point beyond ourselves to Jesus who shows us the Christ life, the life of unitive Love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you<\/strong> to all those who organized, shared messages, and participated in my retirement celebration. It was a great party, with great energy, honouring our shared life and ministry together as a community over all of these years, and looking forward in hope to God\u2019s plans for this ever evolving school of Love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9pm Candle Light Mass<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday, December 31, 11am will be my last liturgy as the rector of the parish.<\/strong> Valerie and I will be providing champaign and finger food after the liturgy, as we bring this chapter of my ministry to a close, with thanksgiving, transitioning into the newness of what the Spirit is inviting next for all of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you<\/strong> to all those who organized, donated to, participated in our annual Christmas online auction. It was a great success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reverse Advent Calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each day in Advent, add a food item to a box. On Christmas Eve, bring the box to liturgy to be donated to the Helping Hand Food Bank. Our donations through Advent will help many in the New Year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sacrament of Confirmation<\/strong> classes will begin on Sunday, January 14. Register with Carole Saunders at (709) 680-0455 or carole.saunders1964@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Breakfast<\/strong>: After feedback and further reflection on our recent increase in the cost of our monthly breakfast, we have decided to adjust the price to $12 per plate. Thank you for your support in this vital parish ministry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sunday Liturgy is live streamed <\/strong>in real time on our Parish YouTube Channel at 11am on Sunday mornings (and can be watched anytime after that on YouTube).  It can also be picked up on our parish Facebook anytime after 12 noon on Sundays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
