Notices for Week of 5 September
Notices: 5 September, Proper 23
Good day dear friends,
This Sunday we will hear the Gospel story where Jesus heals a deaf man. The truth is that we are all broken in various ways and in need of healing. Although healing can come to us in different ways, the most powerful form of healing comes through relational loving presence. Loving Presence heals. God’s Presence heals. Let us draw near to this Loving Presence, and let us bring others with us.
Remember to maintain physical distancing when coming for Communion.
There has been some recent problems with the parish e-mail and web page (which is in the process of being fixed). If you haven’t been getting the weekly parish e-mails, do check your spam or junk boxes and redirect the parish e-mail.
Our Sunday Lunch Ministry will resume on Sunday, September 12. If you would like to volunteer to provide a simple lunch (following the liturgy) once or twice a year, please contact Father Gerald or Bob Bishop.

The altar guild will be resuming its ministry in the near future. If you would like to volunteer to be part of setting up for Holy Communion and caring for the Oratory, please contact Father Gerald.
Bishop Sam will be with us on Sunday, September 26 for the Consecration of the Oratory.
To celebrate Father Gerald’s 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood, the Parish Players will be offering a special Dinner Theatre on Saturday, 25 September. The intent will be to have some fun reflecting back over 25 years of ordained ministry. This event will be at the Lion’s Club Bay Roberts. Contact Dean 680-3497 or Deanna Spicer 589-5340 for tickets.

With reference to the Coronavirus, and any infectious disease, prevention is the best approach to protection. Individuals are advised to take precautions around general hygiene and public health. Clean, Cover and Contain is the recommended approach.
Clean: wash hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
Cover: use a tissue or arm to cover coughs and sneezes as opposed to the hands which frequently touch other surfaces and people.
Contain: individuals with influenza-like symptoms should stay at home to minimize contact with others and to treat the symptoms of the illness.
“Come and see” (John 1:39). Remember to pray about and encourage your family and friends to share in our community of faith.
