Letter from the Treasurer

Letter from the Treasurer

Hello to our Church family and those who consider the Parish of the Resurrection their Spiritual Home. We hope that all is well with you, your family and your friends during these challenging times!

We have been very fortunate to have come through a very difficult year with the Covid-19 pandemic. Many thanks to our Diocese for working with us and overlooking the Assessment payments for the last 3 quarters of 2020. This proved to be essential in order for us to meet the rest of our financial commitments last year. We also qualified for some Federal support but at a reduced amount.

Perhaps the most welcomed financial support last year were the contributions we received by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and we would like to thank those families very much for taking advantage of this new and convenient method of supporting the Parish, it was greatly needed and appreciated!

Since our Sunday numbers are still very low due to the Pandemic, EFT payments now make up the larger portion of our regular “envelope” givings but we are seeing a slight decline this past few months. With our fundraising efforts reduced by nearly 50% and the summer months soon to be upon us, this is obviously more important than ever. As well, we have made a financial commitment to our Diocese for a reduced Assessment payment for 2021 and any Federal support that we may qualify for will soon be finished.

This year will no doubt be another difficult one but with your continued support, we feel confident that we will be able to meet our financial obligations and remain viable as a Parish….and a Parish that continues to be a Blessing and Light for our community!

Please consider our Pre-authorized Debit program or simply use your phone or computer to email your offerings by EFT to finance@anglicanresurrection.com

Thank you and God bless!

Winston
