Notices for Week of June 20

Spring Notices: 20 June, Proper 12
Dear friends,

In Sunday’s Gospel we hear the story of Jesus calming the storm. This is a story about how we are to stay centered on Christ’s loving presence in the midst of the storms and struggles of our lives. Life in Christ is not the diminishing of the struggling and suffering inherent in living. Life in Christ is the bringing of a Loving Presence, Christ’s Presence, into the midst of our storms. Spiritually learning how to hold the tension between our suffering and loving by staying centered in Christ, this is where we can experience new life.
Love,

Father Gerald+

With reference to the Coronavirus, and any infectious disease, prevention is the best approach to protection. Individuals are advised to take precautions around general hygiene and public health. Clean, Cover and Contain is the recommended approach.
Clean: wash hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitizer.

Cover: use a tissue or arm to cover coughs and sneezes as opposed to the hands which frequently touch other surfaces and people.

Contain: individuals with influenza-like symptoms should stay at home to minimize contact with others and to treat the symptoms of the illness.
