Notices for Week of 5 March 2023

Notices: Lent 2, 5 March 2023

Good day dear friends,

This Sunday we will hear the Gospel story of the Transfiguration. Jesus takes three of his disciples up Mount Tabor to be alone and pray, and there he is transfigured before them. Peter, James and John have a powerful experience of waking up to the dynamic divinity of Christ in Jesus. As we continue in our Lenten journey, we too are invited into this deepening awareness of the Loving Christ Life within and among us.

Holy Communion every Sunday at 11am.

After liturgy on Palm Sunday April 2, we will be doing an Easter wreath activity with the children.  This will highlight the life of Jesus from Palm Sunday to Ascension and how endings can also be beginnings. All materials will be provided. Please spread the word and let Lynn (683-1270) know if you will be attending.

When making an eTransfer to the parish at finance@anglicanresurrection.com, please put in the memo note what the donation is for.

A new six week Revive course has begun on “Engaging in Scripture” – How to read and meditate with the Bible. Please keep this important discipling ministry in your prayer.

“Revive” is a program that helps equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders. The participants will learn about themselves and discern their life’s calling; explore their faith journey and enter into a relationship with God; enjoy a sense of community and deepened relationships with peers; gain confidence with prayer, scripture, and spiritual leadership; and discern gifts for their calling to serve God’s world. Please pray for those participating in this program this winter.

Annual Reports for 2022 are now due. Send them to  Father Gerald as soon as possible.

A note from the recorders: Please use your regular name on contribution envelopes (not nick names).
